There is a simple script on the same page , bottom of the page, that is easy to follow. NØXLF Repeater update:    Guys, the repeater swap is “planned” for the weekend of the 27th.   Not sure if it will be Sat or Sun at the moment.  Just keeping you in the loop.
We’ve been testing the repeater at my house in Aurora periodically so some users may have heard it.  I have my call sign on the controller here to separate the two while testing.  Once again it will probably be fairly busy at first, so please be patient with us.  If most of the users can get their radios programmed with Tone Squelch/CTCSS beforehand that would be beneficial.   I do realize that not all radios support the split tone functionality.
I will be able to run multiple channels and for testing I’m going to use another PL tone but make it the same and see if we still have the repeater lockup issue from before.  It will not be left in that mode but available for testing and I can do all this remotely which will be nice.
Anyhow, looking forward to the move.
Scott

MORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
WØTLM has been asked to provide radio support for the Greenland Endurance Ride, which is a 50/25/17 mile equine endurance race.  The event will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 6:30am - 6:30pm and Sunday, May 19th from 7:00am - 2:00pm in the Greenland Open Space area.  We will need a minimum of 15 operators.  Our responsibilities will be relaying the position of each 'team' (horse & rider) to the race officials as well as relaying information if an injury occurs.  This will be set up as a directed net using our portable WØTLM repeater, with the NØXLF repeater as backup.  All of the radio station locations are accessible via vehicle.  You will need an HT with an upgraded antenna (no rubber duckies!) & a spare battery (depending on the length of time you are there).  There will not be a race official posted at the radio stations except for the Net Control location.  If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions, please contact Tricia / KØTRD tricia4wd@gmail.com

LOCAL EDUCATION EVENTS

For anyone who is not familiar with DLARC...  you really should check it out: Digital Library of Amateur Radio & Communications : Free Texts : Free Download, Borrow and Streaming : Internet Archive

The Digital Library of Amateur Radio and Communications is a library of materials and collections related to amateur radio and early communications. The DLARC is funded by a significant grant from Amateur Radio Digital Communications, a private foundation, to create a digital library that documents, preserves, and provides open access to the history of this community.

This free resource combines archived digitized print materials, born-digital content, websites, oral histories, personal collections, and other related records and publications. The goals of DLARC are both to document the history of amateur radio and to provide freely available educational resources for researchers, students, and the general public.

"You spent what on that radio?!?"
Please send pics!  ---> kf0plu@gmail.com

Rex has managed to train the untrainable in the form of this here helper-KFØPLU-but another editor for the newsletter would be ideal to spread the load.  Please volunteer. We have also thought that someone with a more professional eye could make it more appealing.  Also Reporters are encouraged to send in pics of field events, builds, etc...  If you have an interest in such a worthy function let us know; Greg (W0GAS) is also willing to help train!

Please check the club website for clothing, calendar, Equipment Cache, Presentations, and other important links at: https://w0tlm.org

Club Support we take no dues but depend on donations and other means of building and keeping our operating budget so check out the website at WØTLM - About Us on how you can help.
